# Specify Minting

Let your users choose the NFT

{% hint style="info" %}
Minting Types are compatible with Placeholder. For instance, you can use Specify Minting along with Placeholder to temporarily hide the metadata, and reveal at a later time.
{% endhint %}

Using this minting type, NFTs are minted and chosen by the user itself. If you don't use a placeholder is a way to let you users choose the NFTs they like.

{% hint style="danger" %}
Despite being possible, it is not recommended for very large collections as it may difficult the user to choose the desired NFT.
